Being a counselor at Camp Good News is a life changing experience. Camp Good News is a Christian day camp located on 11 acres in North Central Florida. Our mission at CGN is to build up the body of Christ and reach out to the lost. We minister to children by reading God’s Word, learning new songs, playing challenging and fun games, and sharing the greatest news – the gospel

Counselor Nights

Interested in becoming a counselor at Camp Good News? Come meet some of our current counselors for a time of fellowship, worship, and fun!

A Day at Camp

As a counselor or counselor assistant, you will participate in all of the daytime activities with the children, exploring over 11 acres of fun, including:

• Small group devotions with campers
• Arts and crafts
• Field games
• Swimming
• The Living Water slide

• Good News Gulch (western town)

  • Pan "fer" GOLD!

  • Way Back When Adventureland

  • Side by Side Rock wall

  • Archery

  • Bike Trail

• Basketball
• Volleyball
• Bible time
• Review game
• Drama classes
• Cactus Canteen (candy, snacks, soda, etc.)

Plus, for both Spring and Summer Camps we will have special events, including:

• Field trips
• Contests
• Pine Car Grand Prix
• Crab Soccer Competition
• Bass Fishing Competition

Do you want to be challenged, encouraged, and blessed this summer?

Then Camp Good News is the place for you! We’re looking for teens and adults who love spending time with children ages 5 through 12, listening to their stories, and experiencing new things alongside them. And most importantly, we are looking for individuals who know and love Jesus, and want to glorify Him while serving at Camp Good News. 

Your unique skills, abilities, and gifting in specific areas will be definitely be used during your time at Camp Good News.
